Chia Pudding

March 17, 2014 by lindsaylcallaway |

What once was a funny looking plant (ChChChChia) has become a phenomenon in of itself. I have been seeing chia everywhere and in just about everything. I've gotta be honest...it's hard to jump on this band wagon! First off, the look of these seeds

Taste Test Tuesday: @fruitriot Cherries I’ve be Taste Test Tuesday: @fruitriot Cherries

I’ve been wanting to try their products for a long time and seeing the new cherry flavor sealed the deal. I tried for a few weeks to snag a bag from @wholefoods but they have been sold out, which now I understand! When these showed up as available for my grocery delivery I knew it was going to be a great week!

Have you tried any of the @fruitriot flavors?! Which is your fav I should try next?

My favorite high protein meal prep is having a qui My favorite high protein meal prep is having a quiche on hand. Quickly reheat a slice for breakfast or one of those nights where everyone is in different directions and you need to serve something for dinner. I make these all the time and switch up the proteins but sausage and bacon is one of the boys’ favorite.

Recipe:
All butter pie crust (I use @crazyforcrust, it’s perfect every time)
7 eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheese (I like sharp cheddar for this but have fun and try Gruyère or other flavorful melty cheeses)
1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled

Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Cover with foil if the crust is getting too dark. Let cool and store in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Note: I tried the pie crust with collagen peptides for added protein. It worked beautifully! I found that the crust at the bottom was soggy after reheating but was really nice fresh out of the oven. Adding as an option if you eat right away!

This is ✨7✨ This sweet boy has the tough job This is ✨7✨

This sweet boy has the tough job of paving the path for all of our firsts as parents. He’s our fearless leader. Always eager to step in and help out with his little brothers. Timid to test the waters to see what’s acceptable to get away with. He’s cautious and curious. Smart and easy going. It’s impossible to describe just how quickly he’s growing up but with every ounce of his little I mourn, I’m pleasantly greeted with something bigger. Here’s to another year older for our Graham! ⚾️🏒🥨🍔🍟

This is like the block we know and love except it’s real cheese from pasture raised cows! This has a slight kick, mild enough for the kids to consider “spicy” but enough for me to enjoy the flavor!

This came together very easily and would be delicious mixed with chorizo or cooked ground beef, drizzled over baked tacos, or simply served with tortilla chips!

Definitely a fridge staple for a quick appetizer for those last minute get togethers!
