Last weekend we were in northern Wisconsin with a couple friends and their kiddos and we got home late Monday night. It was our first true vacation in years and although a vacation isn’t “vacation” with littles, it was a great change of pace and nice to spend so much time with friends! Graham had started potty training himself while away and when we got home we continued the momentum and jumped right into it. Thankfully I was prepared because my intentions have been to start this for awhile now. Since we got back it’s been consuming my entire day with timers and negotiations and laundry (if you know, you know.)
I am very much looking forward to this weekend to have my husband off work to help tag team this thrilling experience! It’s going as well as it can and I’m keeping my encouragement and support at a constant for him but it’s tough! Accidents happen and it’s taking my whole being to withhold my frustration and channel my inner patience. If only there were a potty training camp that you can send your kid to and have them return fully trained!
Aside from potty training we’re planning on surprising Graham with his first train ride and I’m so excited to see his reaction. I’m hopeful this works out with our training efforts but I think it will be a fun reward for him with all that he’s done so far.
I’m also hoping to sneak in a workout because I’ve basically given up over the last few weeks and I need to get back on track!
What are your weekend plans?
