Everyone seems to have a handful of recipes that can come together quickly with less than 5 ingredients. This recipe is a great go-to for a busy weeknight and I have variations that depend on how much time I have!
Start by bringing your pot of water to boil. Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, grill your Italian sausage. I like chicken sausage and found this delicious flavor at Trader Joe’s! Cook it for 5-6 min on each side or until it’s cooked through.

Drain your pasta but reserve about 1/2 cup. Pour your regular jarred marinara sauce over the pasta and add in some minced garlic, a splash of red wine (if you have some open) and chopped basil for a fresher flavor that tastes homemade!

Slice the sausage and add it right in over the pasta. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes to heat through.

That’s it! Delish.
